Due to the ongoing popularity of the Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas Race, we have decided to continue limited support for this modification, although we strongly recommend people to upgrade to the more recent Deathmatch releases due to their significantly extended functionality and active development. We would also like to encourage people to modify Deathmatch's supplied race resource to their liking.
Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas Race was the first version to be released for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and is now superceded by Deathmatch. It includes a vehicle-only race game mode and a built-in map-editor that allows people to create their own maps to race, cruise or battle on.
We have recently released a new version of Race that contains several high-priority fixes and changes for all the players that are still playing Race.
Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas Race v1.1.2 released on May 18th, 2008
Race servers do not need to be updated for v1.1.2. This release only includes high-priority changes that affect the client.
Notable changes in v1.1.2:
- All-Seeing Eye server-browser has been removed in favour of a more reliable and faster replacement
- Removed redundant "MTA Center" references
- Removed support for built-in error reporter
